"എടാ എഴുന്നേൽക്ക്... ഇന്നല്ലേടാ നമ്മൾ അവിടെ ചെല്ലുമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെ..." അമ്മയുടെ ഈ അലർച്ചയോടെ സുപ്രഭാതം കൺ‌തുറന്നു ... പക്ഷെ ഉറക്കം തെളിയുന്നേ ഉളളൂ... മടി പിടിച്ചു പുതച്ചുമൂടി വീണ്ടും കിടന്നു... പിള്ളാരുടെ കൂടെ ടൂർ പോയി അടിച്ചു പൊളിച്ചിട്ട് ദേ കിടക്കണ കിടപ്പ് കണ്ടാ... അമ്മ വക ആത്മഗതം തുടങ്ങി... കല്യാണത്തിനോ വന്നില്ല... ഇവന് മറുവീട് കാണാണെങ്കിലും പോകാമല്ലോ... എപ്പോൾ നോക്കിയാലും മൊബൈലിൽ തന്നെ... കുഴിമടിയൻ... രണ്ടും കൽപ്പിച്ച് കിടക്ക വിട്ടെണീറ്റു... എന്നാലും ഒരു മടി... പോയേക്കാം എന്ന് തീരുമാനമെടുത്തു...ചേച്ചിയെയും അമ്മയെയും പിണക്കണ്ട... ഒടുവിൽ കുളിച്ചു കുട്ടപ്പനായി വണ്ടിയിൽ കയറി...നാഗർകോവിൽ വരെ പോണം...ആഹാ അപ്പോൾ യാത്ര കുശാലായി... കൂട്ടായി ഏട്ടന്മാരും ഏട്ടന്റെ മക്കളും മറ്റു ബന്ധുക്കളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു... അങ്ങനെ മറുവീടെത്തി... ഉൾനാടൻ ഗ്രാമം തന്നെ... പോയവഴിയിലെ കാഴ്ചകൾ കണ്ണിലുടക്കികിടക്കുവായിരുന്നു... എന്തൊരു പ്രകൃതി രമണീയത... മറുവീട് എത്തിയപ്പോൾതന്നെ ഒരു ആശ്വാസം... കാഴ്ചകൾ ഉടക്കിയെങ്കിലും  ക്ഷീണം തെല്ലൊന്നുമല്ല... വീടിനുള്ളിലേക്ക് ഞങ്ങൾ കയറി... എൻറെ പ്രായത്തിലുള്ള ആരെ...
